KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Comet Industries Ltd. provided a recent update on its Iron Mask Industrial Park project in Kamloops.
As part of the next phase of development, Comet Industries has awarded the earthworks contract to Extreme Excavating.
The civil construction company previously delivered earthworks for Phase 1a and will now lead the final round of site preparation activities for this phase.
The scope of work will include blasting, clearing, grading and preparing the site for future servicing and development.
The Iron Mask Industrial Park is being developed in phases to align with market demand through a long-term build-out strategy.
The current rollout includes Phase 1a: seven parcels of land, totalling 17.71 acres; Phase 1b: five parcels of land, totalling 12.2 acres; and Phase 1c: 10 parcels of land, totalling 22.07 acres
There will be 22 lots in total, which represents the foundation of the larger plan that will see up to 57 lots delivered across the entire industrial park project, states a release.
The park is designed for businesses in distribution, logistics, manufacturing and the service sector, and will offer fully serviced lots.
Iron Mask Industrial Park represents a significant opportunity to strengthen the region’s industrial base, offering fully serviced land in a prime location with access to major transportation corridors, the release adds.
